The present study explores the intricate mediating and moderating role of emotional intelligence between organizational politics and behavioral outcomes in some selected IT/ITES sector in North India. This study is grounded in the recognition that modern organizations operate in highly complex and dynamic environments where understanding the subtle dynamics of workplace relationships and behaviors is essential for enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee well-being. newlineThe motivation for this research stems from the pressing need to address the challenges posed by organizational politics, which, despite being a pervasive element of organizational life, often undermines employee morale, job satisfaction and overall performance. This study aims to provide valuable insights that can help organizations foster more positive and productive work environments. The IT/ITES sector, known for its rapid growth and significant contribution to the global economy, provides a particularly relevant context for this study. newlineThis research adopts a quantitative approach to offer a comprehensive understanding of the research phenomenon. According to the objectives and hypothesis, variables have been designed and identified as dependent and independent variables. Data has been collected through primary source i.e. through questionnaire. newlineKey findings include the identification of five factors of perceived organizational politics- Relationship Conflict, Role Conflict, Resource Constraints, Need for Power and Workforce Diversity through Confirmatory Factor Analysis and the impact of these factors across the demographic profile was analyzed through one-way ANOVA. Structural Equation Modelling supported the hypothesis that organizational politics significantly impact behavioral dynamics. Mediation Analysis revealed that EI positively mediates this relationship, while moderation analysis showed that EI does not significantly moderate the relationship. newline newline
