Abstract: Lead toxicity and vegetable waste are the important environmental issues prevailing today. The detoxification capability of Lactobacillus sp. against heavy metal toxicity is well confirmed in several studies. Vegetable waste can be a source of prebiotics if processed. Fermented food consumption is an ancient practice to improve health. Probiotics have been isolated from various fermented foods and used as starters in food industry. The idea was to ferment Vegetable waste through natural fermentation and was expected the presence of lactic acid bacteria. 16SrRNA gene sequencing is a useful tool for the identification of newly isolated, phenotypic atypical strains as well as for the identification of novel bacterial strains (Clarridge, 2004). Rod shaped indigenously isolated bacteria on 16SrRNA gene sequencing were identified as Lactobacillus strains which were further accessed on the basis of probiotic attributes as well as Lead metal binding capability. Pea shell capability as a prebiotic on the basis of previous studies was accessed with the indigenously isolated Lactobacillus strains and synbiotic remedy was prepared for the PbCl2 induced toxicity in common carp (Cyprinus carpio). newline
