Abstract: | The thesis entitled Synthesis biological evaluation and docking studies of newlinebenzothiazole, benzimidazole, thieno[2,3-d]thiazoles and pyridine derivatives , deals with newlinethe synthesis of some N-heterocyclic compounds and evaluation of their biological activity. The newlineplan of work, synthesis, characterization, the conclusions drawn and experimental particulars are newlinepresented in detail. The experimental data is presented in the form of tables and a good number newlineof spectra are shown in figures. Biological activities are described and their data is presented in newlinetabular form and pictorial form.The organic compounds particularly with heterocyclic ring system promote wide range of newlineactivities via effective binding to enzyme receptor site. Several thousands of new heterocyclic newlinecompounds, either synthesized in the laboratories or isolated from natural sources are added to newlinethe literature every year. Many of these compounds have drawn the attention of research newlinescientists on the basis of their therapeutic, biological and industrial potential. newlineThe compounds pyridine, Benzimidazole, thiazole, and Thiophene are discussed in this newlinechapter. Particular significance is given to these compounds in medical applications. newlineAdditionally, these compounds are used in a variety of drugs and have demonstrated outstanding newlineresults in their anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, antiviral, anti-microbial, anticonvulsant, anti-HIV newlineproperties. Because of the biological uses for these molecules and their analogues, we became newlineinterested in synthesizing the compounds using other methods and testing them for biological newlineapplications. This chapter concentrated on a few of the biologically active compounds and their newlineproperties based on the literature. newlineHeterocyclic containing a benzothiazole ring molecules are announced to show newlineanticancer, anti-inflammatory pain reliever, muscle-relaxant, calmative, anti-tubercular,antimicrobial, anti-convulsant, anti-allergic, antimalarial , anti-viral, anti-oxidant, CNS depressant, newlineand plant growth regulatory activity etc [1].Benzothi |
