dc.description.abstract | An efficient and sustainable approach for the elimination the heavy metals from wastewater is newlinethe use of bio-waste derived adsorbents. The elimination of heavy metals from contaminated newlinewater is very significant for the safety of the atmosphere. Various bio wastes such as ABTW, newlineAGTP, ASS, and ABP have been reported cost effective as adsorbents. The aim of this study is newlineto evaluate experimental results on the behavior of various AGTP for the elimination of Pb2+ newline, newlineCu2+, Zn2+, and Ni2+ under different factors affecting adsorption properties. The adsorption rate and newlinethe percentage of removal of heavy metals depend on a number of factors, including NaOH newlineconcentration, adsorbent dose, pH, shaking time, shaking speed, temperature, and particle size. newlineSeveral bio-waste generated adsorbents are discussed, and their adsorption mechanism and newlineregeneration abilities are elaborated upon as they relate to the adsorption of heavy metals. newlineFinally, important problems, roadblocks, and possibilities are explored, as well as a roadmap and newlinefuture research proposals, to ensure that bio-sorbents are used effectively in water purification newlinesystems. Various instrumental techniques like FTIR, SEM, XRD, TGA, and ICPMS were used to newlinecharacterization of adsorbent. The equilibrium isotherm data of Pb2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, and Ni2+ has newlinebeen described by using Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherm models. The adsorption newlinekinetics data of Pb2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ newline newline, and Ni2+ fits to pseudo second order model. An assessment of newlineand#916;Ho, and#916;So, and#916;Go obtained during the adsorption process showed that Activated Green Tamarind newlinePulp (AGTP) were applicable, spontaneous, endothermic for Pb2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ newline newline, and Ni2+ newline. The newlinepresence of various functionalities as NH , OH, COOH, C=O, and CH in biomaterial play newlineimportant role and enhance the binding affinity against the heavy metal ions and developed newlineadsorbent. The experiment results showed that the elimination of Pb2+ with all adsorbent is newlinehigher than Cu2+, Zn2+, and Ni2+ under all the parameters. | |
