Historicising peoples health movement in west bengal 1978 to 2018

Abstract

The health movement may be regarded as one of the components of new social newlinemovements. The thesis is an attempt to historicize this health movement in the newlinegeographical specification of West Bengal, a state of eastern region of Independent newlineIndia. The study primarily focuses on the history of the peopleand#8223;s health movement in newlineWest Bengal. However, the reference of other states in India and other countries has newlinebeen drawn. This research would like to explore this theme within the time frame newlinebetween 1978 and 2018, i.e. it covers a period of four decades. However, we would newlinelike to mention that to provide a strong ground to this study there would be discussion newlinebeyond the specific time-frame. newline
