dc.description.abstractnewline A sensor is a tool that recognizes and reacts to a certain kind of input from the external world. newlineTypically, the output is an equivalent electrical signal that is electronically transmitted via a newlinenetwork for reading or additional processing. The popularity of a sensor was owing to their newlineversatile characteristics. Chemical sensors are one type of sensor that has drawn the interest newlineof academics from all over the world due to their numerous applications in both home newlineappliances and industrial settings. Its major application includes pollution newlinecontrol/measurement, health, comfort, safety, and security purpose. Different kinds of newlinechemical sensors are fabricated to sense the specific gas/vapors of several concentration newlineranges. The nanostructured metal oxide semiconductors are mostly used in gas sensing owing newlineto the large number of dangling bonds (oxygen/metal vacancies) available on its surfaces. newlineFurther, the cost effective chemical synthesis approach with its robustness plays a major role newlinein the fields of sensor development. In recent decades, gradually thin film technology (microscale technology) overrides thick film technology. Moreover, the advancements in newlinenanotechnology added an extra boost to the enhancement of the sensorand#8223;s performance. Most newlinecommonly used chemiresistor based sensors demand high temperature for optimum newlineperformance is one of the major bottlenecks of chemical sensors.
