Abstract: | Since the development of broad-spectrum pharmaceutical agents has grown exponentially, one newlineof the most undesirable consequences will be an increase in drug induced co-morbidities newlineincluding cardiovascular disorders. Drug induced cardiac dysfunction ranges from rhythm newlinedisturbances, left ventricular dysfunction, impairment of cardiac valves, and pericardial disease newlineto the toxicity of the vascular system including systemic and pulmonary hypo or hypertension, newlinethromboembolic complications, and impairment of haemodynamic function. The present thesis newlinewas aimed to assess the impact of G protein-dependent and independent signaling on drug newlineinduced cardiovascular dysfunctions. newline |
