Abstract: This thesis explores advancements in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) for Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting (DTTB). The study focuses on time domain synchronous OFDM (TDS-OFDM) with iterative padding subtraction (IPS) and Dual Pseudo Noise Padding (DPNP), balancing spectral efficiency and computational complexity. A novel frame structure incorporating pilot signals in the temporal domain is proposed for channel estimation, simplifying tasks in the time domain. The channel estimation technique, using guard intervals and adaptive filtering, exhibits superior bit-error-rate performance compared to existing methods. The suggested frame structure, despite a slight decrease in spectral efficiency, shows potential for various wireless communication contexts beyond DTTB. newline newline
