Abstract: In this study the researcher has attempted to explore the efficacy of practicing newlineyoga on the sportspersons from Haryana, male and female, who have participated in newlinevarious national level sports events- Khelo India and National Games of India being the newlinemain events. The empirical study exploring the Effect of Yoga on Anxiety Levels of newlineNational Sports Persons of Haryana State sheds light on the significant impact of newlineincorporating Yoga practices into the daily routines of elite athletes. The introduction of newlinethe study emphasized the paramount importance of sports in daily life, highlighting its newlinerole in promoting physical well-being, mental resilience and overall health thus newlinecontributing to the comprehensive well-being of the players. newlineThe findings of the study underscore the potential of Yoga as a valuable tool in newlinemanaging anxiety levels among national sports persons. Yoga, with its holistic approach newlineencompassing physical postures, breath control, and mindfulness, has emerged as an newlineeffective means to address the psychological challenges associated with competitive newlinesports. As athletes navigate the intense pressures of their respective disciplines, the newlineincorporation of Yoga techniques appears to contribute positively to their mental health newlineand overall performance. Moreover, recognizing the unique context of Haryana State, newlinewhere sports hold a special significance in the cultural fabric, the study suggests that newlineintegrating Yoga into the training regimens of national sports persons could have newlinebroader implications for the athletic community. Beyond enhancing performance, the newlinepractice of Yoga may contribute to creating a more balanced and resilient cadre of newlineathletes who not only excel in their respective fields but also experience improved wellbeing. newlineThe primary objectives of the research are: to understand the concept of the Yoga newlineas is explicated in the ancient scriptures and related commentaries and to evaluate the newlineimpact of Yogic practices on anxiety level of selected national players from the state of newlineHaryana. newline
