Abstract: Amphiphilic assemblies are organized systems formed by amphipathic molecules. Such assemblies have fascinated researchers over decades because of their interesting self-assembling behaviour and their unique microenvironment with distinct properties. Most commonly and extensively explored organized assemblies are micelles, reverse micelles, vesicles and polymer assemblies.1-8 These organized assemblies are formed due to various noncovalent interactions. newlineNanomaterials have at least one dimension is in the nanometer size domain.9,10 They exhibit distinctive physical and chemical properties. Nanomaterials have diverse applications in catalysis, chemical sensing, optics and biomedicine.11-14 Nanomaterials exhibit size modulated properties, thus tailoring the shape and size of nanomaterials is a hot topic of research. Noble and semiconductor nanomaterials have distinct optical properties and often show wide applications in biology. newline
