Abstract: The utilization of social media platforms in the agricultural sector has become a transformative tool for enhancing farmers growth and development. Platforms such as YouTube and WhatsApp enable farmers to connect, collaborate and access valuable agricultural information conveniently. These platforms significantly impact agricultural practices by providing increased access to crop management techniques, recommended crop varieties, weather based agro-advisories and marketing insights. The exchange of information on social media allows farmers to stay updated and make informed decisions leading to income growth. However, challenges such as infrastructure limitations, illiteracy and lack of quality control hinder widespread adoption in rural areas. To fully harness the benefits, it is essential for stakeholders including government bodies and agricultural institutions to improve digital literacy, develop appropriate content and create an enabling environment for farmers to leverage social media effectively.
