Abstract: | Ergonomics is the study of how humans interact with man-made objects. The newlinegoal of ergonomics is to create an environment that is well- suited to a user s physical newlineneed. For example, ergonomics is often used to create comfortable workstation for newlineemployees. Ergonomics is the significant discipline concerned with the understanding newlineof the interactions among human and other elements of a system, and the profession newlinethat applies theoretical principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize newlinehuman well being and overall system Performance. newlineErgonomics is the study of people at work. People are on of industries most newlineimportant resources. In today s industrial operations people perform physical tasks of newlineassembling and handling materials, as well as sensory and cognitive tasks such as newlineinspecting components, issuing tools, entering data and managing people and newlineoperations. Simply put it takes people to make products and provides services. newlineIn India, beedi rolling is a traditional activity and one of the largest job newlineproviders for female artisans in the unorganized sector. This stressful situation newlinebecomes worse by physical pain felt in the activities. The present study examines the newlinehealth related physical fitness profile, impact of work factor in terms of anatomical, newlinephysiological, biomechanical and musculoskeletal disorders prevalence among newlineworkers beedi producer.
