Abstract: Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are the key contributors to the economy of emerging nations In India, around 117 million people are found to be employed in more than 50 million SMEs as per the recent MSME reports. Today s dynamic market is characterized by ever-growing technology and customer demands. There exists a thrust on SMEs to be highly competitive in the present turbulent environment. To sustain and grow in this market situation, SMEs need to continue to be innovative, proactive in their approach to services and solutions and to be able to take risks.
