Abstract: The research describes the innovative approaches to manage pests and diseases affecting important crops like and vegetables, focusing on nanoformulations of pesticides and bioactives. newlineIn case of coffee white stem borer management, the study proposes using hydrophobic polymer-based nanoformulations encapsulating pesticides. Ethyl cellulose and cellulose acetate nanoformulations loaded with azadirachtin and chlorpyriphos respectively show promise in deterring oviposition and causing ovicidal activity against the pest. The cellulose acetate nanoformulation exhibits high stability in rainy ecosystems, ensuring prolonged effectiveness. Biosafety studies indicate the safety of cellulose acetate to the environment, albeit with mild toxicity from chlorpyriphos surface adsorption. newlineSimilarly, for managing fungal nematode complexes in vegetables, essential oils like cinnamon, clove, and thyme are encapsulated in nanoformulations. These formulations demonstrate fungicidal and nematocidal activities against Fusarium oxysporum and Meloidogyne incognita. The nanostructured lipid carrier, nanoemulsion, and zein nanoparticles effectively deliver the active compounds, showing high encapsulation efficiency and stability. Pot culture experiments reveal promising control of nematode populations with zein nanoparticles, suggesting potential integration into pest management strategies. newlineThese findings underscore the potential of nanoformulations in enhancing pesticide efficacy, reducing environmental impact, and improving crop protection. Further field validation and optimization of application parameters are crucial for transitioning these innovations into practical agricultural practices. newline newline
