Abstract: | The increasing demand of existing communication system motivates an extraordinary development in ultrafast optical networks to satisfy the constantly changing demands of the industry. All-optical logic circuits provide a promising future in developing the ultrafast communication networking circuits equipped with processing speeds that have been proven to be much faster than those formerly regarded as practical in the realm of conventional electronics. In recent years, the development of various ultrafast all-optical switches and circuits has been motivated by the tremendous possibilities in the future of optical computing and information processing. The non-linear micro-ring resonator (MRR) is one of the different ultrafast switches that have achieved significant importance in the area of optical computing and information processing. newline |
