Abstract: The contribution of the current research is the formulation of a model that provides quantitative metric criteria for software quality evaluation. It aims at reducing the gap between conceptual definitions of existing quality models and an operational assessment mechanism that can be applied with ease by the evaluators. The model has been formed by obtaining expert opinions from software professionals and its findings are verified from existing established research as well as empirically validated through data obtained from standard repositories. Henceforth, the model is reliable enough in evaluating the structural properties of source code in view of quality assessment to monitor the effectiveness and performance of the target product. newline
