Abstract: | newline Microgrids (MG) are interconnected systems that encompasses newlinecrucial as well as non-crucial electrical loads. These loads are supplied newlinethrough conventional as well as non-conventional distributed generation newlinemodes either in islanded mode or grid- connected mode. As the MG consists newlineof several connected distributed resources, it can be also called as and#8215;Hybrid newlineMicrogrid. A hybrid microgrid is a collection of interlinked renewable and newlineconventional energy resources connected to users and controlled by systems newlineto ensure efficient energy usage and storage. The increase in usage of newlinePhotovoltaic (PV) systems and Wind Turbines (WT) to the power grid is newlinepredicted to be the future of hybrid microgrids to achieve clean green energy. newlineElectric Vehicles (EVs) have gained attention in the recent years. The demand newlinefor electricity from the power grid has surged because of the additional usage newlineof EVs. This demand can be met by integrating the EV charging infrastructure newlinewith Renewable Energy Sources (RESs) such as the PV systems and WT newlinetowards decarbonised global society. But, the RESs are intermittent in nature newlinewhich brings add-on challenge for the power systems. newlineEconomic analysis is an important tool in evaluating the performances newlineof microgrid (MG) operations and sizing. Optimization techniques are newlinerequired for operating and sizing an MG as economically as possible. newlineConsidering the facts stated above, an investigation is conducted in this newlineresearch thesis to attain the optimal economic and emission dispatch model newlinefor Hybrid MG with RESs and EVs. |
