Abstract: Transnational migration has greatly impacted the economic, social, emotional etc. aspects of migrants and their left behinds. The research work was conducted in district S.A.S. Nagar (Punjab). The study concluded that various push and pull factors compels the migrants to leave their native place. The lives of the ones left behind are emotionally, economically, psychologically and religiously impacted because of transnational migration. These left behind members bear the costs of bright future of their migrant member. They miss the physical presence of the migrants but at the same time thought that future of the migrant was their utmost priority. Economic conditions of the left behinds also get modified after migration of an individual from their household. On the religious front, migrants and their family members had immense faith in the divine power and this faith increases during the migration journey of an individual. The living of the non-migrant households was also impacted to an extent when someone from their vicinity migrated transnationally. newline
