Abstract: | Medicinal inorganic chemistry is a rapidly developing field with newlineenormous potential applications, which offers new possibilities to the newlinepharmaceutical industry. Benzo[b]thiophenes have captured the fascination newlineof researchers and scientists in the field of organic as well as inorganic newlinechemistry due to their intriguing and versatile nature. They stand as newlinecaptivating compounds, drawing significant interest and exploration. They newlinebelong to the family of heterocyclic aromatic compounds, characterized newlineby a benzene ring fused with a five-membered thiophene ring. This unique newlinemolecular structure grants benzo[b]thiophenes numerous intriguing newlineproperties and potential applications across various scientific disciplines. newlineThe versatile nature of benzo[b]thiophenes is exemplified by their diverse newlineroles in pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry. As building blocks in newlinedrug synthesis, these compounds have contributed to the development of newlinenumerous therapeutically significant molecules, thereby advancing newlinemodern healthcare.
