dc.description.abstractnewline Cloud storage lets customers migrate their data from servers to the cloud. Cloud computing includes users uploading large data files to remote computers. More importantly, it allows data owners to avoid costly infrastructure setup, massive equipment, and daily maintenance charges, making it especially important for small and medium-sized organizations. More reliable cloud services allow consumers to access their data anytime they want. As cloud services become increasingly popular, securing sensitive data is crucial. First, data owners may worry about unauthorized access or exploitation. Second, the cloud is risky. Any system can lose data. The auditor must remember that auditing is a multi-step, on-going process. The auditor should note that some steps may need to be re-evaluated and that some can be combined. Information Technology auditing verifies that Information Technology operations and governance meet standards and SLAs.
