Abstract: Recent years have seen a substantial increase in interest in dissimilar friction stir welding (FSW) of Aluminum (AA 1xxx series) and Copper (Cu) alloys due to their potential applications in numerous sectors. Bus bars must be light in order to be economical and reduce weight. Aluminum is well-known for its excellent strength capability with respect to its weight, while possessing excellent formability and corrosion resistance. It is also sustainable due to its high levels of recyclability. In order to create alloys with excellent thermal conductivity, electrical conductance and corrosion resistance, copper is crucial. It is challenging to weld copper and aluminum together because CuOF has a higher electrical conductivity. Due to its improved joining capabilities and weld strength, FSW is a novel welding technique that is effective for uniting incompatible aluminum alloys. It is an ecologically friendly method for producing a well-defined junction with consistent strength and strong microstructural properties since it may combine similar and different aluminum alloys with an equivalent level of weld quality. newline
