dc.description.abstractnewline Resources like fossil fuels, coal, other natural gases, etc. cater the world s energy demand. However, they are expected to be depleted in a couple of decades and future energy is still an unanswerable question. In addition, the irreparable damage done unto the eco-system accelerated researchers to look for suitable alternative energy source that is required to be both renewable and also sustainable. Today s worse situation is that the climate change has started to wreak havoc on the planet at a rapid pace. So it becomes essential for countries to look for all the possible ways that guarantee fuel economy and lower the levels of pollution in general and particularly in the automobile industry. This research work aimed at an intensive analysis over the emission, combustion and the performance efficiency of multi cylinder DI diesel engine fed with transesterified, non-edible rubber seed biodiesel blends to find out the desirable alternative fuel that should reflect the same operating parameters of plain diesel fuel. A careful survey of the literature revealed that among the non-edible biofuel, the transesterified (RSO) rubber seed oil was observed to be effective with roughly similar properties as the plain diesel.
