Abstract: | Eggplant or brinjal (Solanum melongena L.; 2n = 2x=24) is considered a rich member of the newlinespecies Solanaceae, which contains approximately 1300 species. It can be grown in diversified newlineclimatic conditions of various ecological regions. A laboratory experiments was conducted in newlineUniversity laboratory entitled quotPhysico-Biochemical evaluation of different genotypes of brinjal newline(Solanum melongena L.).quot with 20 promising brinjal genotype namely KS-23, KS-454, KS-456, newlineKS-453, KS-224, KS-554, KS-555, KS-556, KS - 331, C-9011, C-9012, and#1057;-9013, and#1057;-9015, C-9006, newlineC-8502-1, C- 8841, C-5623, C-7864-1, C-8805 and Azad Kranti. Collected from the University newlinefarm the samples were analyzed for quality traits namely Moisture content, Days to 50% flowering, newlinePlant height, No. of branches/plant, Days to first picking, No. of fruit/ plant, Fruit length (cm), newlineFruit width, Average fruit weight (gram), Ash content, Protein content, Chlorophyll content, Fat, newlineFibre, Carbohydrates, Energy, Oxalic acid, Tryptophan, newline newline |
