Abstract: newline The Bifacial photovoltaic module (BPVM) has the ability to generate power from the front as well as from the rear side of the module due the albedo effect. The reflected solar radiation from the ground surface is utilized by the rear side of the module. The proposed work is an experimental investigation of bifacial photovoltaic module which is carried out for the outdoor climatic conditions of Minjur, Tamilnadu, India. Two bifacial modules of 420W are considered for carrying out the experiments. Modules are connected to resistive loads and maximum power extracted. The proposed work is carried out to explore various methods for enhancing power generation from bifacial photovoltaic modules. The experiments are carried out for optimizing the tilt angle, orientation, albedo, tracking and reflector.
