Abstract: | The environmental problems connected to recycling synthetic fibre newlineproducts sparked interest in creating substitutes using renewable resources. newlineNatural fibre reinforced composites are replacing traditional materials due to their newlineavailability and environmental friendliness. There is a growing interest in newlineinvestigating their application. Natural fibres have low density, outstanding newlinespecific strength, biodegradability, and good vibration damping qualities. newlineNatural fibres such as kenaf, sisal, banana, jute, flax, hemp, and newlinecoconut are ideal alternatives to synthetic fibres for usage in the construction and newlineautomotive sectors. Sisal fibre-reinforced composites perform better in terms of newlineimpact strength when compared with other natural fibre composites. Luffa fibres newlinecontain significant toughness, strength, and stiffness, which are similar to other newlinemetals with the same density ranges. newlineEpoxy resins contribute to the strength, toughness, and chemical newlineresistance of a composite. Because of its simple processing, good adhesiveness, newlineand great chemical resistance, epoxy is commonly used as a polymer. Cashew Nut newlineShell Liquid (CNSL) resin has the potential to replace materials made of newlinepetroleum because of its availability, sustainability, affordability, and reactive newlinecharacteristics. newlineThe review of the literature indicates that limited studies are carried out newlineon the quality and mechanical characteristics of synthetic and natural fibres with newlinesynthetic and natural resins. It is interested to learn about the characteristics newlineand potential of using various reinforcement materials to create hybrid newlinecomposites. newline |
