Abstract: In view of the explosive evolution of the urban population and the engineering industries, the necessity for energy is progressively flourishing every day at a quicker rate in the modern era. One important issue is the amount of energy used to produce hot water, which accounts for around one-fourth of all energy use worldwide. It adequately demonstrates the ability of solar water heaters to meet the energy demand for hot water in an affordable and environmentally responsible way. For home needs, it is projected that solar water heaters will hold a market share of around 90%. In the past, the majority of homes used thermosyphonic circulation flat plate solar water heaters, but recently, entire-glass evacuated tube solar water heaters have been used. Despite their benefits, solar water heaters have some shortcomings, primarily due to their weather-dependent operation. They are generally incompetent at adequately managing their overall heat energy reserves to fulfil supply-demand expectations, especially if numerous withdrawals are necessary during the daily run and the subsequent morning. Furthermore, because of their inherent losses, they are incapable of storing and retaining the maximum amount of thermal energy. In this work, an attempt was made to address the outcomes associated with domestic solar water heaters using Phase Change Materials (PCM) and, further, specially prepared nano enhanced phase change materials such as Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT) and Boron Nitride (BN). newline
