Abstract: | discusses the introduction to crystal growth, scope of the thesis, objective of the present work and organization of thesis were discussed. Chapter 2 describes the slow cooling method to generate of fully-fledged organic Urea Itaconic acid (UITA) crystals. The UITA solitary crystal exhibits third order nonlinear susceptibility and#967;(3) values of 2.051 x 10-5 esu, 2.011 x 10-5esu, and 1.9411 x 10-5esu for the (1 0 0), (0 0 1), and (1 1 -1) planes, respectively. Chapter 3 discusses the synthesis of VDNS crystal by slow evaporation and slow cooling technique with ethanol solvent for the first time in literature. While the third nonlinearity value remains consistent across different planes, the nonlinearity value is significantly higher in the prominent plane (2 1 -1) compared to the planes (1 -1 0) and (1 -2 0). Chapter 4 describes the effect of itaconic acid on KDP with concentrations of 1, 3, and 5 mol%. The SHG conversions of ITA-doped 1 mol%, 3 mol%, and 5 mol% crystalline samples of KDP were 1.609, 1.87, and 2.31 times greater than that of pure KDP, respectively. Chapter 5, devote to the potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) which is an effective NLO substance. The (2 0 0) plane has a greater morphology than the (1 1 2) and (2 1 1) planes, and as a result, has a higher and#967;(3). Chapter 6 presents the single crystals of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP) and crystals containing 1, 3, and 5mol% of itaconic acid (ITA) were generated by the slow evaporation of an aqueous solution newline |
