dc.description.abstract | Fossil fuels dominated the energy-generating industry up to the newline20th century and positively impacted worldwide transportation and energy newlineuse. However, fossil fuels are also to blame for environmental harm, newlineincluding pollution, climatic shifts, and greenhouse gas emissions. There is a newlineneed for alternative energy sources that have less of an impact on the newlineenvironment in order to safeguard our ecosystems and get beyond the newlinelimitations of fossil fuels. According to numerous study reports, the majority newlineof Lithium-Ion batteries are utilised as primary energy storage system for newlineRenewable Power Systems (RPS) and primary power source for Electrical newlineVehicle (EV) applications because of its potential merits such as high energy newlinedensity, greater capacity, long cycle life, and little self-discharge. newlineAt the same time, some internal and external factors cause battery newlineperformance degradation. When LIB is used for various applications, the newlineinternal chemical reactions make the temperature to rise from cell to cell and newlineit causes the temperature to rise in the battery pack. Additionally, a rise in newlinetemperature directly impacts safety. Therefore, when Lithium-Ion batteries newlineare subjected to charging/discharging for any of the applications, temperature newlinemust be considered as primary factor that to be controlled. newlineIn this proposed work Photo Voltaic- Battery Integrated System newline(PVBIS) is considered for the analysis and various parameters are estimated. newlineIn order to analyse the thermal behaviour of the lithium-ion battery a 1KW, newline3.2 V/ 6Ah, LiB is taken into consideration for the experimental analysis. newlineThe nominal voltage and capacity are 24 V and 48 mAh, respectively. newline | |
