Abstract: It is never unfortunate to be born in any community. The saying born in marginalized newlinecommunities is not much, but dying poor, uneducated is course. The marginalised are newlinemost affected even by the slightest temporary disruption. They are most vulnerable to newlineexternal shocks-economic, environmental or political, and have poor resilience and newlinelimited capacity to overcome them. Most of the persons from marginalised communities newlinedon t want to work hard and avail the schemes, but they want easy access to all the newlinefacilities. The only thing worse than being blind is having sight and no vision. newlineIn this article, we shall talk about marginalization, its types, marginalization in India newlineand Indian Governmental approach to curb marginalization. newlineMarginalised people are the people who are treated as a group of unimportant, newlineinsignificant people; considered as of lower status. They are also sometimes referred as newlineuntouchables in some sections of the Indian sub-continent. The reason marginalized newlinepeople are treated this way with social exclusion is because of various factors. The logic newlinebehind their social exclusion lies in their incapacity to fulfil the needs of the society. newlineThe society treats their inputs as insignificant because they are unable to give back newlinevaluable social, economical, cultural and political inputs to the society; the way other newlinesections or communities of the society do. This process of pushing a community to the newlineedge is known as marginalization. Merriam- Webster defines marginalization as: To newlineassign to an unimportant or powerless position within a society or group. Oxford newlineinterprets marginalisation as: (of a person, group, or concept) treated as insignificant or newlineperipheral. According to Cambridge dictionary, marginalisation means to treat someone newlineor something as if they are not important. newlineFrom a human right perspective, all citizens should receive adequate health, education, newlinefood and nutrition, housing, participation, equal treatment, and freedom from newlinediscrimination and violence.
