Abstract: | In recent years, the Natural fibre- reinforced composites have emerged newlineas a promising alternative to traditional synthetic fibre-reinforced composites due newlineto their eco-friendly nature, low cost, and favourable mechanical properties. But newlinethere remains a gap in the literature regarding the utilization of specific natural newlinefibres, namely Acacia concinna Seed Powder (ACSP) and Vachellia nilotica Seed newlinePowder (VNSP), in combination with Random Turkish Hemp (RTH), for newlinedeveloping natural fibre-reinforced hybrid composites (NFRHCs). Additionally, newlineprevious studies have primarily focused on the overall mechanical behaviour of newlinethese composites, neglecting the crucial influence of fibre weight fraction on their newlineproperties. To address these researchgaps, this thesis aims to investigate the newlinepotential of ACSP and VNSP as additional fillers in an epoxy matrix to develop newlineNFRHCs with enhanced mechanical and acoustical properties. The primary newlineobjective is to determine the optimal composition and weight fraction of newlineACSP/VNSP/RTH based NFRHCs for structural applications. By newlinecomprehensively investigating the mechanical, acoustical, chemical, and surface newlineproperties of the ACSP/VNSP/RTH based NFRHCs, this research aims to newlinecontribute to the development of lightweight and sustainable composites for newlinestructural applications. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights newlineinto the potential of these novel natural fibre-reinforced hybrid composites and newlinetheir suitability for various engineering applications newline |
