The reliable and efficient operation of power systems is a crucial aspect of modern society. However, the occurrence of faults in power system components can cause severe damage to equipment and result in power outages. Therefore, early detection of component failure is essential to minimize the impact of outages on the system. This research presents an approach to detect defects in some power system components, such as Photo-Voltaic (PV) panels, fuses, power lines, and motors. In the first step, data sets of power system components are collected using Infra-Red Thermography (IRT) with proposed Field of View (FOV) techniques. This step involves capturing thermal images of the components to analyze their thermal characteristics. The IRT images obtained using FOV techniques provide clear information about the temperature distribution in the pictures. This information can be utilized to identify potential failures or anomalies in the power component areas. newline
