Abstract: Analyzing and comparing the string representations of sequences reveals a lot newlineof useful information about the sequences. As new biological sequences are being newlinegenerated at an exponential rate, sequence comparison is becoming increasingly newlineimportant to draw functional and evolutionary inference of proteins. Sequence newlinesimilarity and evolutionary analysis plays a major role in bioinformatics. newlineThis activity is part of a broader interdisciplinary area called bioinformatics. newlineThis study addressed a new method for biosequence alignment and evolutionary tree newlineconstruction particularly of butyrylcholinestrase (BChE) sequences. In this thesis, newlineintroduction and application of new approaches for sequence alignment and newlinereconstruction of phylogenetic tree is presented. This thesis is based on my papers newlinepublished during my research work. newlineA framework was constructed to find the properties of biomolecules. Multiple newlinesequence alignment (msa) is a fundamental and given rise to challenging problems in newlinecomputational molecular biology. A software was developed that determines pairwise newlineand multiple sequence alignment using dynamic programming approach. newlinePartitioning approach of biomolecular sequence alignment is presented using newlineprogressive alignment method. Experimental results demonstrated improvement in newlineexecution time of the problem. newline
