Abstract: Inflammation is a cascade evolutionary phenomenon that is characterized by the body s immune and nonimmune activation of cells that defend the host from foreign pathogens and consequently aid in tissue repair and healing. Inflammation phenomenon on execution if cyclooxygenase pathway is inhibited, it get switched to the lipoxygenase pathway which in turn releases several leukotrienes and lipoxins responsible for an inflammatory response such as leucocytes adhesion, vasoconstriction, bronchial asthma, gastric mucosal damage, and lastly oedema development. Consequently, a new strategy of dual COX-2/5-LOX inhibition arises in search of therapeutic medicine with the least side effects. newline
