Abstract: | Background of the study: Marriage at medium age is 19.0 years between the age of 25-29 years and 18.9 years between the ages of 20-49 . 49% of girl aged 20- newline24 has married before 18 years. newline newlineTitle: Impact on utilization of reproductive health interventions among reproductive age group (18 to 45 years) women in Tripura, A mixed method study . newlineAim: The Aim was to assess the changes in health status of reproductive age group women after availing reproductive health services and barriers of availing services. newlineMethodology: A Descriptive Explanatory sequential mixed method design was adopted. In epidemiological point of view, prospective cohort study design was also adopted to conduct this research. newlineSetting: All 8 districts in Tripura. Sample size was 500 that surveyed from 30th March 2021 to 30th October 2021. The overall samples were chosen using the multi- stage technique of sampling. newlineData Collection: Baseline Survey was conducted to collect quantitative data. newline newlineFocus group discussions at the rate of 6 group in 7 Districts and 8 groups in 1 District comprising 10 participants in each group has been conducted to collect the qualitative data. newlineData Analysis: The data were analysed in SPSS version 17. newline newlineSummary of Results: Findings revealed that Maximum participants were in the age of 18 to 27 years . Majority 142(55.3%) of the participants were completed 3rd visit followed 29(11.2%) of them were visited only once in entire antenatal period. Regarding the place of delivery 176(95.6%) have delivered their baby in the hospital whereas 8(4.4%) undergone home delivery. Regarding birth outcome 180(97.8%) was live birth followed by 3 (1.6%) abortions and 1(0.6%) still birth. newlineThere are an important association among socio-demographic variables and knowledge at 0.05 level of significance. Focus group discussion revealed that cultural beliefs and religious taboos prevent women in using modern contraceptive newline newlinemethods. Postnatal care of the mother is somewhere neglected. |
