Abstract: | Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) has recently become a well-knownstudy subject, because of its application in various contexts. MANET is made up of mobile nodes which are autonomous, that move and communicate data individually over wireless channels. Clustering is regarded as a competent strategy that divides mobile nodes as groups referred to as clusters and chooses a node as cluster head (CH). On the other hand, the nature of wireless links poses security as a major design issue. MANET consists of a network of selfcontained mobile nodes that move autonomously and communicate through wireless networks. Energy efficiency is considered a critical design issue in MANET and can be addressed by the use of clustering process. Clustering and routing are typical energy-saving approaches that may be considered as just an NP-hard issue and are handled by utilizing algorithms for computational intelligence. Because clustering and routing represent the most widely utilized energy-efficient strategies, numerous metaheuristic algorithms are employed to find the best cluster head (CH) and route to destination. However, in huge search spaces, most metaheuristic algorithms fail to generate effective clustering and routing solutions, and their probabilities of providing optimum solutions are considerably diminished. From the above listed challenges exist in MANET, in this research work, we focus on different challenges such as Mobility-induced route changes, Packet loss occurs owing to transmission errors, Battery constraints, Security, Routing and energy efficiency. All the above-mentioned challenges are newline newline |
