Abstract: The airline industry is highly competitive, and airlines constantly seek ways to gain a competitive edge. Further, the airline industry is highly dynamic, with factors like economic conditions, regulatory changes, and technological advancements which are constantly evolving. This study helps airlines identify their relative competitiveness and comparison of efficiency, enabling them to develop strategies to thrive in the competitive landscape. The study made in the thesis focuses on evaluating the performance of airlines through a comprehensive approach involving (1) identification of critical measurable factors of Balanced Scorecard (2) Determination of performance of twenty airlines by integrating BSC with Data Envelopment Analysis, Grey Relation Analysis and Grey Relation Projection based on Efficiency and Competitiveness perspectives (3) Analysis of factors through Categorical Regression Analysis The research begins with a thorough review of existing methodologies for performance evaluation of organizations in general and Airlines in specific, highlighting their limitations and the need for a more comprehensive approach. The proposed framework addresses these limitations by incorporating the studies in 1) Identification of Critical factors of balanced scorecard of Airlines and determination of relative weights of the factors through objective method (CRITIC) 2) Efficiency Evaluation of Airlines through BSC-DEA in fuzzy environment 3) Competitiveness Evaluation of Airlines through BSC-GRA and BSC-GRP in fuzzy environment 4) Analysis of critical factor through categorical regression analysis which will be further useful for prediction of performance of alternative Airlines. The research study focused on critical factors of balancing through confirmatory factor analysis namely: Operating Revenue (OR), Net Income (NE), Revenue Passenger Kilometer (RPK), Revenue Ton Kilometer (RTK), Energy(fuel) Cost (EC), Capital Cost (CC), Labour Cost (LC), Operating Expenses per Employee (OE). newline newline
