Abstract: Literature explores the philosophical movements and ideas of the developing society. It gives a detailed account of human life based on desire and emotion. The concept of literature changes over time as well. Literature has an overwhelming approach in twenty first century which means to connect the world literature with each other. Contemporary literature plays constructive role in the lives of individual and society, and allows us to understand the socio-political and cultural change at particular time. newlineThe Indian English Fiction has attracted attention worldwide and gained an amazing success in the world. The Indian novel in English becomes one of the best medium to express history and society of India. The novel has been an integral part of story-telling culture in India. The glorious tradition of story-telling attracts Indian English novelists to explore their history and myth on world scenario. The Indian English novel has undergone the inevitable process of modernization and westernization as well as adopting and experimenting the new themes and techniques. The novel in India has gained self-identity and respectable place. The Indian novelists explore their experience from multiple points of view in tune with the practices in contemporary western novels. newlineThe increased visibility of the Indian writers has led to a great deal of articles and books on the subject. Most books choose a critical aspect to read a set of novels. The most common subjects are related to nationalism and the independence movement in the Indian novel that deals with the partition and communal violence. Still others have dealt with caste-class discrimination, and socio-politics. The noble writers like Mulk Raj Anand, R.K. Narayan, Kushwant Singh, V.S.
