Abstract: The title of research work is Exploring the Impact of IT Trends on Chetan Bhagat s Select Novels puts a strong emphasis on IT trends, which has a large impact on literature in general and on novels in particular. The aim and scope of the present research is to explore the impact of IT trends on the select novels of Chetan Bhagat. Information technology (IT) has changed the human life in modern time. New technologies such as computers, internet, wireless devices, and social networks have become integral part of human life in the contemporary scenario. Consequently, there is an impact of these things on lifestyle of the people. The IT is the boon for mankind. It has made accessibility to information at fingertips. The diversified possibilities of IT have reduced the space and time between the people, countries and continents. Information Technology is a technical support for human thinking and communication has been evolving over thousands of years. New developments have been rapid over the last few decades. It is only recently that the term has been used as a collective term for the whole spectrum of technologies. newlineThe first chapter entitled Impact of IT in India, Impact on Chetan Bhagat is focused on the general survey of Indian writing in English literature. It also defines the term Indian writing in literature. In this chapter the researcher carries out the brief survey of Indian English works especially the major fictional work and the prominent Indian writers who contributed in English language. It also analyses the contribution made by Chetan Bhagat in the development of Indian English Novels. This chapter is also focused on the impact of IT in India and on Chetan Bhagat s writings. While discussing the multiple cultural patterns of Indian society and the deep-seated ideas and ideals i.e., political, economic, secular, spiritual, and global constitute the mind of Indian which are reflected in Chetan Bhagat s writing is thoroughly discussed in this chapter.
