Applications of chiral and achiral ionic liquids in organic transformations and syntheses of some piper amides

Abstract

The present dissertation records the development of various green methodologies and ionic liquids reagents. We synthesized some chiral, achiral and supported ionic liquids and studied their application for various organic transformations as catalyst or solvent. Nonconventional, techniques like microwave and ultrasound were also used for organic synthesis. The recyclability of ionic liquids was also studied. We also synthesized two naturally occurring Piper amides by two different ways involving use of ionic liquid and microwaves. newline
