Abstract: | In this thesis I have evaluated all these problems at length i.e. Is the marginalization of natives intentional? Who is responsible for internal colonization? Will Metis ever be able to breathe the air of freedom? And I on humanitarian ground would like to profess that Métis should be given the freedom to enjoy their fundamental human rights. The White society should stop the policy of When in Rome, do as the Romans do as it means subjugating an entire segment of society. The path of assimilation or integration should be ceased in favour of Métis growth and development. The multicultural status of Canada should definitely be used to justify the equality of classes, religions and races. newline |
