dc.description.abstractThe rapid growth of technology has the greatest influence on every aspect of newlinecontemporary life. This poses emergence of potential risk of violence against women newlinein terms of their security and privacy. The prevalence of cyber violence against women newlineand girls (cyber VAWG) is relatively recent phenomenon of the twenty-first century. newlineWhen the online violence against women does not involve physical violence, it tends newlineto be trivialized thereby receives inadequate and inappropriate responses from newlineconcerned actors, like State, law enforcement Agencies and civil society at large, newlineincluding women themselves. Digital violence generates serious damage to the dignity newlineand integrity of women, who are condemned to social isolation. It is important to realise newlinethat what is happening online space only reflects the experiences in the offline world.
