Abstract: Blended learning, a novel approach, combines offline and online learning with traditional newlinetraining. It allows constructive and computer-assisted learning. The proposed study newlinecombines online and traditional learning and development methodologies in a Blended newlineLearning environment. Blended learning strategies play an important role in newlinecollaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, motivation, newlineattitudes of the learner and the skills required for the 21st century learners. For teaching newlineEnvironmental Studies, the selected sample of 80 students was taught through blended newlinelearning and traditional method comprising of experimental and control group newlinerespectively. The various approaches and activities undertaken for enhancing meaningful newlinelearning are documented. Finally post-test was carried out using the same tools as used in newlinethe pre-test. The data collected was analysed by using the statistical tools and the results newlinerevealed that the students taught through blended learning performed better in newlinecomparison to students taught through traditional method. The findings clearly indicated newlinethat the blended learning strategy as an interventional treatment proved effective and newlinebeneficial in promoting the 21st century skills among the learners. While exploring the newlineinterphase between 21st century skill enhancement and meaningful learning their newlineinterpretation into practice and experiential learning needed for learners and their work newlinefutures. The cultivation of 21st century skills beyond content knowledge deserves more newlinetime investment in the classrooms. The future of our kids depends on flexible and newlineimaginative instructional methods. To prepare students to be innovators, education must newlinechange from traditional to mix. newline
