Abstract: | In English Language Teaching (ELT), especially when English is connected to class Room Teaching. It plays a very significant role in engrossing the student s attention. A Teacher shall play various roles such as Learner, Facilitator, Assessor, Manager and Evaluator. Something really important in this role is that students and teachers are partners in the learning process. The ability to speak English can have a significant impact on the life of a student. While the demand for English continues to be high throughout the nation, access to a high quality English language education is affected by many factors and can be difficult to find. The role of the teacher is to direct the class activities, encourage students to participate in class by asking them questions constantly and corrects their mistakes immediately. Successful teachers are passionate about education. They re passionate about learning and about engaging students in learning and more to the point, many teachers are passionate about one subject and love nothing more than sharing their specialist subject knowledge with their pupils. The Indian government has attempted to improve the quality of language education over the past ten years by encouraging teachers to implement best practices for language acquisition. One program which prepares in-service teachers (ISTs) in understanding and implementing those best practices is the Academy for the Teaching of The goal of this project was to provide a qualitative case study of the ATE in order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the teacher professional development program in question while determining what the language education community can learn from the study s findings. A teacher with a strong personality will always beat the one having a weak character. For every teacher, personality development generates a sense of happiness in their mind.
