Abstract: This Research examines the Reverse Burden of proof under Criminal Law with special reference to Economic offences. This study works on the premise that Reverse Burden of proof is necessary and useful especially in Economic offences and is interpreted reasonably by the judicial system in India. There is criticism about the subject despite the fact that the very existence of Reverse Burden of proof is due to cumbersome standard of proof of Beyond reasonable doubt on the prosecution which if persisted would have caused the system to be more accused-centric and not victim-centric. The Empirical Research was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative methods. newline
