Abstract: newline The structural, dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric characteristics of ferroelectric electro-ceramic materials are discussed in this chapter. Ceramic materials are discussed in terms of their qualities, uses, and structure in this chapter. This chapter also goes through the specifics of perovskites. The history and uses of lead-based and lead-free ferroelectric materials are discussed in this chapter. The base material Barium Strontium Titanate is widely examined since it has a wide range of uses and may be improved by substituting alternative components. The structural, dielectric, and ferroelectric properties of Magnesium substituted Barium Strontium Titanate are the focus of this thesis. There is also a brief literature review for BaTiO3, Ba0.95Sr0.05TiO3, and Mg Substituted BST. At the end of this chapter, the motivation for the work and the plan for the next chapters are also included.
