Abstract: | The objective of my research work is to synthesize the heterocycle appended higher coordinated organosilicon compounds via different methodology. The heterocycle s containing N, O, and S have spread applications in various field, similarly organosilicon compounds are significant components in material science. Hence, the incorporation of different heterocycles in organosilicon compounds may enhance their activity. This research work is also focused on the development of chemosensors for the detection of heavy metal ions and amino acids and their activity is increased by the immobilization of these compounds on silica or iron oxide nanocomposites. Using conventional methods like X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), inductively coupled plasma/atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP AES), atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), and inductively coupled plasma/mass spectroscopy (ICP MS), potentiometric methodology, ion selective electrodes, and electrochemical processes for metals identification, are very expensive, require skilled operators, have time-consuming pre-treatment steps, and lack portability equipment, which limits their practical advantages. The current focus of research interest among scientists is the formation new potential drug candidate, these heterocycles functionalized organosilicon compounds may be used in medicinal chemistry and have been explored computationally. This thesis presents the synthesis of different heterocycle-functionalized organosilicon compounds and their application as metal sensors. newline |
