Abstract: On the basis of empirical grounding, it was found that the public perception of Police image in Punjab is affected by political interference, corruption, level of people s education, interface with people and professional standards of Police. Further, the self-perception of Police image is affected by public recognition and media portrayal. The study offers lessons for policy-makers and practitioners towards improving the image of Punjab Police. newline
