Abstract: Nitric oxide (NO) is a highly toxic and hazardous gas causes air pollution. Higher newlineconcentration of NO in the atmosphere produces acid rain and causes pulmonary newlineedema, nose and throat irritation, burning eyes, respiratory irritation etc. Besides newlineenvironmental pollution, NO also plays a major role in various physiological processes, newlinesuch as neurotransmission, vasodilation, blood pressure regulation, wound healing, newlineimmune response etc. Any deviation from its normal value (1 and#956;M-10 nM in blood) newlineoriginates several deadly diseases like hypertension, Parkinson s disease, ischemia, newlinefibrosis, septic shock, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. newline
