Abstract: Background: newlineHomoeopathy is one of the fastest growing alternative medicine, now claimed to be the 2nd largest system of medicine according to World Health Organization (WHO). It is also stated to capture the pharma market growth of about 25% growth globally1. This raises the demand of new innovations and researches, that tends to increase the productivity and effectiveness of Homoeopathic medicine selection in treating ever increasing diseases. newlineIn selecting the proper medicine the important tool required is proper repertorization. And for proper repertorization analysis of the case and appropriate rubric selection is required. When we do not find a proper rubric to a relevant and important symptom, and to fill this vacant gap one such alternate solution is Generalization, This is most important as we tend to omitted that important symptom acquiescently, there by appropriate medicine will not be selected newlineObjectives: newlineThis study aims to raise the relevant particular rubric(s) to Generals (generalizing) when the appropriate rubric(s) is missing in Complete Repertory and evaluating the efficacy of Homeopathic medicines drawn out. newlinePurpose: newlineHelps prescribers eliminate the risk of omitting an important particular symptom when it is not found in the Complete Repertory. newlineiii newlineStudy design: newlineand#61623; Community-based cross sectional study was carried out to in a rural and semi urban community area of Belgaum district suffering from Typhoid fever newlineand#61623; Quasi-experimental design, A Non Randomized convenience sampling, a comparative trial newlineTotal of 79 Patients were enrolled after assessing the eligibility criteria, and were divided into two groups basing on the presence and absence of relevant rubrics. newlineGroup A: Is to find out the effectiveness of the Generalization of rubrics. Here we adopted the generalized rubric as eliminating rubric and the remedies against it are selected for prescription, newlineand#61623; If the rubric contains a single medicine the medicine is prescribed directly, and If the rubric contains multiple remedies, the remedy that covers maximum number of rubrics or symptoms is selected. newlineGroup B: Remedies selected through Regular summative repertorization process for prescription newlineResults: newlineThe results shown that medicines selected according to generalization cured Typhoid fever as effectively as group B prescribed based on the summative repertorization newlineConclusion: newlineGeneralization of rubrics has shown the advantages way of Repertorization when relevant rubrics were missing in Complete Repertory. This also benefited us in the rapid selection of medicines as the generalized rubric usually contains a lesser number of medicines. newline
