Assesment of Alveolar Ridge Preservation using Beta Tricalcium Phosphate and Hydroxyapatite

Abstract

Objective: To preserve alveolar ridge using beta tricalcium phosphate and to assess of alveolar ridge using B-TCP. Materials and Methods: Selection of patients according to their treatment were selected for this study i.e., with extraction along with graft placement and another group of patients only with extraction without bone grafting. The extraction site is left to heal normally. The radiograph was taken before extraction and after 3 months of healing. Conclusion: Patients treated with beta tricalcium phosphate grafting in extracted socket had uneventful healing. There was no infection or graft failure. Thus this technique of beta tricalcium phosphate in socket preservation of alveolar ridge we can improve the resorption of bone.
